Americana: KickAss Steak Burgers From Scratch!

So its officially summer time! Where the hell did spring go? It’s like we had an odd combination of 30 deg weather one day, then 80 the next. Good old Tennessee weather! But now that the humidity has reached sauna room levels, it’s time to break out the grills and get to doing one of God’s favorite pass times…..GRILLING MEAT! And this time we’re going to be making some KickAss burgers from scratch! My friend K-Bizzy, his wife and I decided to grind up our own burgers the other day and they turned out pretty awesome, so keep all that goodness to ourselves?? Now, for this you can either use your own meat grinder or have your butcher do it, but you MUST start out with whole chuck steak! or whatever kind of steak you want! Don’t skimp. Trust us…it’ll be worth it!

  • 1.5 Lbs chuck steak ( or whatever steak you want), cut roughly
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 1/2 white onion roughly chopped
  • 1 TBS¬†worcestershire sauce
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • Awesome cheese like meunster or aged cheddar

Start by setting up that awesome manly tool known as a meat grinder. Then pause for a second to bask…….has your beard grown yet? ha. Go ahead and stick your meat, garlic, and onions down its glory hole and grind up all this awesomeness into a bowl. Then add in the Wocessfsjjsotjosshire sauce, salt and pepper. Stick those wolverine hands of yours into the meat and mix ¬†this up. Don’t shove it in your mouth……yet! Let this sit covered in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to and hour. Then divide the meat up as evenly as possible and by evenly we mean make yours as big as mount everest! I mean ….no one will notice….and if they do, just look at them and stroke your by now mile long beard! Grill these burgers to your desired doneness, but add the cheese on there about a minute before taking them off.
